15 WEEKS - Baby's Size

15 weeks: Baby is the size of an apple

Your baby has grown to the size
of an apple and weighs about
2 1/2 ounces. (Length: 4 inches, head to bottom.)

15 WEEKS

Found out this week, it's a BOY!!!

Maybe this explains why I am getting bigger everywhere quicker than I did with Madilyn?  Lately I have been getting really bad heartburn, so bad I got sick one time.  Also been getting a lot of headaches, and I think TMJ?  All of this started happening this week, hoping it goes away.  My linea negra (the line) looks like it's going past my belly button! It's not dark, you can barely see it. My weight is still the same (gained 10 lbs).  Still no big cravings, and haven't gotten the big appetite like I did with Madilyn.

Been out of town a few times recently.  Last minute weekend Key West trip for fathers day, and our birthdays.  We had a lot of fun, except the last day the beginnings of Tropical Storm Debbie kept us indoors with all the rain.  Then we went to Jacksonville for a long weekend.

12 WEEKS - Baby's Size

Pregnancy Week 12:

Sure you’re 10 inches. Your
baby is the size of a small
measuring tape this week.

Your Baby: Week 12

As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed.

12 WEEKS

Had the N/S ultrasound today.  Everything measured out perfectly.  Heart rate was 158.  We were able to show Madilyn there was only 1 baby, not two like she has been telling everyone.  The baby was moving around a lot, so we were only able to get three good pictures.  It was also hard for the nurse to get a good picture because she kept laughing at Madilyn.  Madilyn kept saying "aww look at the baby it's so cute, it's so adorable!".  Then the nurse would laugh, then Madilyn would do her fake over exaggerated laugh, then the nurse, Jason, and I would laugh making it impossible to get a picture.  The nurse was in tears from laughing!

Pretty sure I felt the baby move the other day after a big meal.  Had Jason try to see if he could feel anything, and he did!  Can't believe we cad already feel the baby moving, and how quickly I am showing this time around.  No strong cravings for anything (like chocolates or ice cream), and can't think of any food that is bothering me.   My appetite has not increased yet, but I have gained a total of 7-10lbs in the first trimester (my weight fluctuates a lot throughout the day, sometimes as much as 4lbs). Yikes! Bring on the moo-moo's! (kidding)..

11 WEEKS - Baby's Size

Your Baby: Week 11

Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.

11 WEEKS

Not as sleepy, but my feet are starting to get achy a lot easier.  Already getting ligament pains, especially if I get up out of bed too fast, or stand up too quickly.  Starting to get "the line" (linea nigra) under my belly button!  My chocolate cravings are not as bad, but still really no other big cravings besides ice cream.  I'm trying to go a week with out any ice cream, since I have already gained 6-7lbs.  They want you to gain only 3-4lbs in the first trimester.  OOPS!  Haven't been able to do our walks/runs much since it's been raining so much, and when I try to do the eliptical Madilyn tells me to get off it b/c it's too noisy!  Well those are my excuses anyways.  Get to see the baby next week at our 12 week ultrasound.  Madilyn keeps insisting there are two babies in my tummy, but we will finally be able to show her there's only one!
